Insulation Works

Marine Insulation

Marine Insulation work is one of our main competences, and this includes insulation and accommodation work onboard ships.

Marine Insulation services offered by us consist of all ships’ insulation and cladding systems, including all standards required by class, complete insulations for both clad and clothed exhausts, various coverings and insulations for pipe work (including SOLAS flange covers and jackets, chilled pipe insulation and installation of chilled fridge rooms).

Insulation and cladding blankets /pads are designed for each client at our workshops, so that we are able to tailor for individual requirements.

This service coincides with our SOLAS surveys, which identify the areas of a ship that are emitting high levels of heat, such as pipe work and exhausts.

All our insulation:

• Increases ships’ safety
• Significantly decreases the risk of fires
• Reduces the ambient heat

The requirements for insulation work on ships differ from those for jobs ashore especially with regard to the working conditions. Installations onboard ships are often very compressed making access rather difficult. Therefore insulation and accommodation work onboard ships are carefully planned and carried out by specially trained personnel.

Our expertise includes insulation and cladding of complicated engine room plants, exhaust pipes from main and auxiliary engines, fuel oil pipes, boiler systems and condenser tubes from compressors.

Furthermore, we carry out all types of fire and conventional insulation work on bulkheads and ceilings etc. Fire insulation of cable penetrations and noise and condensation insulation of ventilation systems are other areas in which we operate.

Also, we have great experience in construction and fitting of all kinds of cooler and freezer units, freezing tunnels, cargo holds and work decks.
